I’m a composer and sound artist based in Berlin, Germany. I have worked on several films, among others the TV-series “Berlin, Berlin” which won the International Emmy Award. As a sound artist my compositions are made from sounds such like clocks, ice and fire sounds, water dripping, sand, crickets and others and have won prices such as Prix Ars Acustica, Karl-Sczuka-Förderpreis or Phonurgia-Nova-Price.
Silent listening is about the fringes of music, the periphery where music turns into sheer sound – concrete, wild, sometimes stunningly beautiful. This blog is also an English writing exercise so forgive wrong spellings and twisted grammar…

Hello Andreas. I would love to use a couple of small sections of one of your recordings as part of a “walk-in soundscape” for a show I’m working on. This one: https://silentlistening.wordpress.com/2008/05/09/dispersion-of-sound-waves-in-ice-sheets/
Is it possible you could send me an email? I’d like to discuss details for this if you have time.
Many thanks
Mark
